I've officially added another person to my list titled "Sheer Awfulness". (Hi Campbell and Hillary!!!) Her name is Susan Roesgen and the reason for this addition can be found here.
I am a proud Republican. Small government and lower taxes to me are like shamelessly promoting one's self with a false sense of self-worth to Jennifer Lopez. As yesterday was the dreaded April 15 tax deadline, grass roots Tea Parties sprung up all over the country. In an effort to be the "Most Trusted Name in News", CNN sent one of its puppets, Ms. Roesgen, to cover Chicago's Tea Party.
What stood out to me was not just the arrogance of Ms. Roesgen, but more importantly the INCOMPETENCE. After interrupting the man's response as to why he was attending the event, Ms. Roesgen exclaims "Did YOU know that the state of Lincoln gets $50 billion out of the stimulus", as she glances directly at the camera as if it were going to nod its "lens" in agreement.
Ok. How do I put this?? Susan, that is the f**king reason why these people are protesting in the first place!!!!! Who do you think is funding the $50 billion that Illinois is receiving through this stimulus? The TAXPAYERS.
Another problem I have with Ms. Roesgen and CNN: for the past 8 years, you argued against everything that the Bush administration did (which I think is fine and necessary in a democracy), however all of a sudden, when people argue against the secular Messiah that is Obama, it is considered "anti-government". I would love to hear why this double standard exists.
I would expect Ms. Roesgen to be reprimanded (or fired) for her actions in the Windy City yesterday. However, I wouldn't be surprised if CNN retains her for future abhorrent journalism. Hey, she can always fill the time slot after Campbell Brown's "All Bias, All Bull"!!
